Oscars 2020: Predictions and Film Excess' favorites

So the night of the 92nd Academy Awards are upon us. Following the relative success of last year's first host-less show in decades, (less to quip about), the Oscars go without a host for another year tonight. And the period leading up to the awards this year has not been filled with talks of new or revised categories or ceremony downscaling, as was the case last year. New stability and general popularity is surely hoped for by the show producers and the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. But lack of racial and gender diversity in the 'big' categories again threatens to add poison to the night and its wins.

Similarly to last year, I have only been able to see 8 of the nominated 38 feature films so far, those 8 being: Avengers: Endgame, The Irishman, Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, Little Women, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, Judy, Honeyland and Pain and Glory.
Most nominated of the year is Todd Phillips' smash hit Joker with 11 noms, the first time a comics character movie leads an Oscar race. It is followed by 1917, The Irishman and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood with 10 nominations and thereafter comes Jojo Rabbit, Little Women, Marriage Story and Parasite with 6 each.
The expected blatant injustices of the Oscars are eventually righted in Film Excess' annual lists of the best and worst of 2019, which will eventually boom to include more honors and Film Excess' awards (the latter only when the annual review tally crosses 100 titles.) So keep coming back here to see what was actually the best (and worst) of 2019 in films and TV-series.

My Oscars  prediction record from the past 6 years on this site looks like this:

2014: 7 correct / 33 % - worst prediction
2015: 13 correct / 62 %
2016: 16 correct / 76 % - best prediction
2017: 11 correct / 52 %
2018: 14 correct / 66 %
2019: 11 correct / 52 %

Following are the 21 major categories. The three short film categories are as usual left out, as I have no insight or opinion about them.

Here follows a full list of the predictions, favorites and eventual winners of the night:
