Eva is feeling like a failure due to being a divorced mother, who has just been rejected at a much hoped-for job interview, when she learns that planning her friend Bella's bachelor party might put her back on track for the job.

Jagtsæson 2 - I Medgang og Modgang is written by Claudia Boderke and Lars Mering (Far til Fire på Toppen (2017), both) and directed by Peter Molde-Amelung (Jomfruer fra Rummet (2023)). It is the sequel to Tilde Harkamp's Jagtsæson (2019). The original Danish title translates to, 'hunting season 2 - in good times and bad'.

There are elements that needs to be overlooked in the plot here throughout: Why does Eva fail to get any job? What is her line of work? Why is this organically/woke-obsessed company job so desirable to her? And, as a side issue, why is she so poorly dressed in every scene in the film? Later other questions may pop up, but for the sake of trying to enjoy the comedy, you should try to ignore these speculations.

The star trio, Mille Dinesen (Swinger (2016)), Lærke Winther (Mødregruppen (2019)) and Stephania Potalivo (Løbeklubben (2018, miniseries)) are back, and they constitute the major reason to check into this low-flying, rackety follow-up. Jagtsæson 2 - I Medgang og Modgang has neither a script nor a direction worthy of much praise, so one must hope for a better situation in the sure-to-come next sequel of the popular movies.

The film has spent its first 2 weeks at #1 in Danish cinemas, selling 157k tickets so far, coming to approximately 2.75 mil. $. There are no other release markets planned. Molde-Amelung does not have his next gig announced yet. Born in Alabama to deaf parents, Fletcher got her first credits in late-1950s TV-series.She took a 10 year-long sabbatical to devote her time to motherhood after the release of A Gathering of Eagles, but then came back and soon saw her career's most important part, as Nurse Ratched in One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest (1975), for which she won her sole Oscar. Later credits include Exorcist II: The Heretic (1977), The Lucky Star (1980), Brainstorm (1983), Two Moon Junction (1988), Cruel Intentions (1999), A Perfect Man (2013) and many more. Fletcher passed away at age 88. R.I.P.

Jean-Luc Godard has passed away

Born in Paris, France, Godard lived much of his life in Switzerland. He wrote for French film criticism magazine Cahiers du Cinema and became foundational for the New French Wave that inspired new waves in scores of other countries across the world with his Breathless (1960). Later credits include A Woman Is A Woman (1961), Vivre Sa Vie (1962), Le Petit Soldat (1962), Contempt (1963), Alphaville (1965), Pierrot le Fou (1965), 2 or 3 Things I Know About Her (1967), Weekend (1967), Every Man for Himself (1980), King Lear (1987), Century of Cinema (1995, documentary), Goodbye to Language (2014) and many more. Born in Vaucluse, France, Trintignant's theatrical debut as an actor was in If All the Guys in the World... (1955).
