Date Night (2010) - Carell and Fey bring out the big laugh guns

+ Best Comedy of the Year

Steve Carell and Tina Fey report for crazy-comedy duty on the poster for Shawn Levy's Date Night

An exhausted parent couple from Jersey drive to the city and lie to get a table at a fancy new restaurant as the 'Tripplehorns.' - But in doing so they accidentally become the center of a dangerous, criminal game of cat and mouse!

Steve Carell (The Big Short (2015)) and Tina Fey's (Unbreakable Kimmie Schmidt (2015), TV-series) comedy chops are red hot, and their chemistry is undeniably present here. The story is fresh and freshly paced. Date Night presents a slew of situational comedy with great stars like Mark Wahlberg (Lone Survivor (2013)), James Franco (The Night Before (2015)), Mila Kunis (Forgetting Sarah Marshall (2008)) and Ray Liotta (Goodfellas (1990)) crowning different sections of the film.
Josh Klausner (Shrek Forever After (2010)) wrote the screenplay, and great Montrealer filmmaker Shawn Levy (This Is Where I Leave You (2014)) directed it. Date Night is simple and Old Hollywood-reminiscent in the cool way. A solid laugh riot.
