Glamour and intense emotions radiate from the poster for Morgan Neville's 20 Feet from Stardom |
QUICK REVIEW:
Background singers are an overlooked group in the music industry, who have more than just contributed to some of the greatest hits of the last many decades. - They have invoked soul into them. 20 Feet from Stardom takes a look at some of these passionate women.
This is an irresistible documentary from Morgan Neville (Johnny Cash (2008)). It spoils us, the audience, with lots of soulful singers, magnificent music and some incredible anecdotes. The beautiful women singers are the entire show here in this ambitious and handsomely erected winner, which moves and inspires.
20 Feet from Stardom is a spiritual and soulful treat, not to be missed!
